Facebook: Glitches with Pages, Timelines Resolved

Facebook: Glitches with Pages, Timelines ResolvedIf you own a small business, your Facebook page may not have loaded all of its content sometime on Friday, which is enough to cause high anxiety for social media directors across the land.
But it wasn’t just pages that saw loading issues. It was also timelines for some users.
Facebook said it resolved site issues Friday afternoon that prevented some users from accessing their Timelines and Pages briefly.
But the extent and cause of the glitch were unclear.
The announcement from Facebook came about an hour after reports of the intermittent problems began festering on Twitter. That forced Facebook to say that it was investigating the reports.
“Earlier today, we experienced an issue that prevented some people from loading Timeline or Pages content for a brief period of time,” Facebook said in an e-mail to media outlets. “We resolved the issue quickly, and content is back to normal.”
However, Fox Business said that a a source close to the matter said the issue appears to have been related to a technical network glitch.
The timing of the glitch is another matter. It came a day after rival, Twitter, recorded a highly-successful public debut — two years after Facebook’s botched IPO.
